Mother's Day

This is my card for my mum - I've gone for a really simple layout and colour scheme to highlight the embossing and texture.

I used the Celtic flower embossing folder to give texture, and embossed my stamped image with gold powder - the image is Ivy Corner and I added a few punched flowers and seam binding for dimension.

Swoosh!

More inky fun for me this week. I've been playing with some new Cosmic Shimmer Vintage ink sprays and of course, my favorite, it has to be masks - this time it's Swoosh. I sprayed my card, dried it, resprayed through the mask, then applied perfect medium through the mask so that I could clear emboss the design.

Did I mention I love gilding flakes!

I think I just might put them on everything lol. If you've never tried them, you must - it's the law! For me, it wouldn't be possible without the Flake and Glitter Glue and for this card, I used the Red Blaze flakes but they're available in some stunning mixes, so take your pick - Red blaze seemed to go so well with the Mirano Perfume bottle stamp

Thank you

I made today's project using some lovely new stamps I've been playing with - they're by Creative Expressions and Sue Wilson - you can see the range here

I stamped the image and embossed with white, then coloured the card with Victorian Velvet distress and added colour to the flowers with Cosmic Shimmer Drawing Inks. I've matted onto cardstock coloured using shaving foam and Cosmic Shimmer mists.
