A Floral Mini

Mornin' all,
My last project of the month for Creative Expressions is this lovely keepsake mini book, using 4 of the floral singles. You can see this and my other samples by tuning in to sky 671 at 9am and 3pm, when Julia Watts will be showcasing these stamps and a host of other CE goodies.

If you'd like to make a book for yourself, I've made a pdf to show you how.

Always

I have another card using the great new floral stamps from Creative Expressions for you. I think they're such a versatile set to have - who doesn't like flowers? For this card, I chose to just use the flower heads from the anemone planter, and painted them using the Cosmic Shimmer Watercolours. I arranged the flowers onto the Botanical Sprayand used Spellbinders Enchanted Labels 28, Labels 10 and 21 for my layers. I really like the effect of the dried Golden Sparkle PVA, it looks like Barley Sugar!

Thanks for dropping by

Friends

I'm having a lovely creative time at the moment, I've been working with the Christmas stamps I mentioned last week, and also these super new floral stamps. For this weeks card, I went with a kraft base and added watercolour shimmer paints .

First, I painted my kraft cardstock with warm white matt chalk paint

I stamped and heat embossed in gold onto the dried painted card - go over the card with an anti static pad, just in case!

I used the pastel watercolour set to paint the image. I tore the card to reveal the kraft core.

I painted blocks of the same colours I used in the main image onto another piece of chalk painted kraft and cut into squares.

I used the quilted flower  embossing folder to emboss the card, but to add variety, I placed opposing squares face down so that the deboss would be face up.

I mounted the image onto a die cut which I'd also given the paint treatment.

I matted the squares onto plain kraft, then embossed kraft and added a sentiment and some adhesive pearls to finish.

Thanks for stopping by - I really hope you'll take the time to leave me a comment.

Black and White

Hi,
My first post of the month with some hot off the press stamps for Creative Expressions today. I've been in Christmas for most of the week, making samples for a show Julia Watts is presenting on Create and Craft on 15th August. We're also having a blog hop running over the weekend of 16th and 17th, so be sure to drop by and comment to be in with a chance of winning a great prize of  Creative Expressions goodies.

I took a break from my Christmas samples, to make this card, which although not completely planned, did work out rather well I think. The glittered background is the cutwork mask and gunmetal sparkle texture paste, I added this to an embossed white card - I used the Illusion folder, and then onto black and finally white. By this time, I'd decided to keep the entire card  monochrome for impact, so I simply embossed my stamping with black detail powder. Classy and elegant, I'm sure you'll agree.
