This month the Creative Expressions DT are going off the page, so today I have a canvas to show. Although it's only small, I've used lots of different products and techniques - embossing folders, masks and texture paste to add interest to the bare canvas, distress paints and gilding waxes for colour, and finally UTEE, metal embellishments and beeswax for embellishing.

It's time to share another Creative Expressions project - I had great fun with this one, playing with my inks and masks.

The stamps used are Fern Background , Fancy Foliage and Texture. The mask (one of my absolute favorites) is Leafy.

Like a charm

Today I have a Valentine's theme project to show. For this, I've used the Creative Expressions Handbag stamps and stamped them onto shrink plastic. Additional charms are made with UTEE. Initially, this was going to be presented on a card, but after getting carried away with the melt pot, it soon became clear that something more substantial was in order - so I made a tag with mountboard and finished it with seambinding.

And all because the lady loves.....

gilding flakes. I had a jar of gilding flakes in my stash for yonks and never used them  - shame on me. Now I'm using them all the time, the reason for the u-turn was my discovery of Cosmic Shimmer Flake and Glitter Glue, it's fantastic stuff and by far the best method I've tried to apply flakes, and believe me I've tried a lot! It's as simple as applying the glue to the stamp using a bit of cut n dry foam - that's it. Where has it been all my life?

The stamps I've used this week are Rose Blossom and Bijou Bag.

A Handbaag!!

Its Creative Expressions time again, and this time I've pulled all the girly stops out.

I made a background using the caught in crystal technique, but instead of using a glaze medium, I used pva and still got a great result.

The new issue of Papercraft Essentials is now out, and an article I wrote uses another set of stamps by Creative Expressions - Belle of the Ball.

Another project for you today using the Antique Dressforms stamps by Creative Expressions.

For this tag, I used the 'smooshing ' technique with Distress Paints and added some seasalt whilst it was still wet. I allowed it to dry naturally to allow the salt to dry out completely.

For January, the Creative Expressions team are playing with the Antique Dressforms A5 stamps and as it happens, I'd just bought the new Rulers mask from That Special Touch which goes perfectly with the stamps.
